Head Of Development


We are a growing software company based in Warwick.  Due to expansion plans the Head of Development role is an exciting new position for the successful candidate.


intelligentgolf is a fully integrated golf club management software as a service provider.  It enables golf clubs to manage their handicapping, tees and bookings, membership, competitions, club events, club websites and EPOS system.  The SaaS model, our software is used by hundreds of customers, with an extensive Amazon Web Services infrastructure, servicing over 50 million page views a month.


We are based in modern open plan offices to reflect our belief of team and company collaboration and sharing best practice.  The location of the office is great for public transport links and within walking distance of local shops and amenities.   Free parking on site is available to all staff.

Key Requirements

    •    Extensive and demonstrable experience of leading an Agile development team

    •    Hands on expert knowledge of the following technologies:

    ◦    OO PHP

    ◦    Angular 1.X+

    ◦    Git/Gitlab/Github

    ◦    MySQL

    •    Amazon Web Services


Key responsibilities

    •    To develop and manage the software development team.

    •    To guide, coach and mentor the development team

    •    To provide project management and technical leadership for all aspects of software

    •    To develop technical roadmaps for all projects inclusive of research, design, timelines and testing.

    •    To establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of high quality software.

    •    To learn and present how products would add value to the business.

    •    To supervise resource allocation to ensure attainment of business and personnel development goals.

    •    To manage and execute software development projects from beginning to finish.

    •    To evaluate projects, develop and update schedules plus supervise project status.

    •    To collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings.

    •    To report to management team with daily updates and weekly scheduling of tasks.

    •    To present software changes to company staff and customers.
