Flexible Tee Times

Support for new membership types

On the Ninth Day of Christmas...

Clubs are always looking for innovative ways of encouraging new members to join their club. Several client clubs have informed us that one of the ways in which they are looking to attract more members is by allowing a flexible membership.

intelligentgolf has now developed flexible membership as part of our membership and subscriptions system. This can work in two ways.

Flexible Choices

Firstly a flexible member can buy points for example £500 may give them 500 points. These points can then be redeemed over the year every time a flexible member plays golf, books into a competition and when booking online. The points deducted can depend on the type and time of golf or competition booked. The system will automatically debit the correct amount of points. Crowborough Beacon Golf Club is using flexible membership in this way and the General Manager John says:

" Having successfully introduced Flexible Membership at my previous (Proprietary) Golf Club, the challenge to introduce it to a traditional Members Golf Club such as Crowborough Beacon was considerable. Convincing the Board of the need to introduce modern flexible membership categories for the occasional golfer couldn't be accomplished without a foolproof management and monitoring system and I'm delighted at the system intelligentgolf provided, which does just that! "

Members are able to monitor their own usage through intelligentgolf so that they can top up their account as needed.

Secondly you can have categories for example silver and bronze. The silver category may get 40 rounds of golf and the bronze say 20 rounds of golf. The member then swipes their card at the touch screen each time they play golf and the round is automatically recorded against their name. A custom report then tells the pro shop which flexible members are out on the course at any time to enable this to be monitored.

Leyland Golf Club is introducing this system from 1st January 2012. The key point to this type of flexible membership is that there is no requirement to have a tee time booking system to use the system in this way.

There is a charge to enable flexible memberships at your club and should you be interested please contact intelligentgolf to find out more details.

We hope that many of you will find this a valuable enhancement when trying to attract more members to your club on a more convenient flexible basis.
